Land Acknowledgment

Stewardship begins with understanding the history of the land. Greenpoint is the land of the Munsee Lenape and Canarsee people and was the hunting grounds of the Mespeatches. The long history of environmental harm in Greenpoint begins with the displacement of and violence against the area’s Native peoples. We commit to grounding our stewardship in this truth.
